Indiana University under investigation for alleged antisemitism

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Department of Education Office of Civil Rights is opening an investigation into several universities, including Indiana University, for alleged antisemitism.

Zachary Marschall, editor-in-chief of the news outlet “Campus Reform”, filed a complaint that allegedly sparked the Title XI investigation, according to their reporting.

Campus Review describes itself as a "conservative watchdog to the nation's higher education system."

Marschall said in his complaint that IU discriminated against Jewish students and failed to respond to harassment incidents during a pro-Palestinian protest on campus in October 2023.

Campus Reform also reported the University of Wisconsin and Northwestern are being investigated due to Marschall's complaint.

According to the Office for Civil Rights, other universities being investigated for Title XI violations include Johns Hopkins, Harvard, the University of Michigan, and more.
