The Perfect 10: Moller-Jensen shines at the heart of Indiana’s unbeaten season

msoc senior night

Oliver Moller-Jensen needed 45 matches to score eight goals at Florida Atlantic. It only took him 13 at Indiana to reach double digits.

The senior forward netted his 10th goal of the season Friday night in No. 2 Indiana’s emphatic 7-0 victory over Hanover, curling a free kick over the wall and into the net in the 15th minute. It was another goal in what is quickly shaping up to be a career year for Moller-Jensen and another contribution to an Indiana team that has yet to lose.

The Hoosiers improved to 11-0-2 with the victory, extending the unbeaten streak to 13 and going undefeated in nonconference action for the second year in a row. At the center of it all has been Moller-Jensen.

The Atlanta native, who moved to Denmark when he was 6 years old, came to Bloomington this offseason after 3 seasons at FAU. He started 40 of his 45 matches for the Owls, totaling eight goals and 10 assists. His best year came in 2025, when he scored six goals and tallied six assists, helping FAU reach its first NCAA Tournament in program history.

All he needed was less than one season at Indiana to exceed his three-year goal mark, and it didn’t take long to make an introduction. Moller-Jensen had a brace in his Hoosier debut against Notre Dame on Aug. 20, helping the Hoosiers open with a resounding 3-1 victory. Just three days later, he found the net again against Evansville. In just six games rocking the cream and crimson, Moller-Jensen had five goals to his name.

Then, for the first time this season, the goals weren’t coming. Moller-Jensen had a three-game drought without netting a goal as Indiana knocked down Michigan and Washington before leveling with Wisconsin. Even without their star striker scoring, Indiana kept winning.

That changed when Penn State traveled to Bill Armstrong Stadium. Moller-Jensen ended the skid with two goals in Indiana’s 2-1 victory over the Nittany Lions, scoring in the 29th minute before scoring the game-winner in the 77th. Both came off assists by fellow transfer Stephane Njike.

“I have a bunch of good players around me,” Moller-Jensen said after the Penn State victory. “I feel like the team around me is helping me a lot to be at the point where I’m at today.”

But it’s what head coach Todd Yeagley prefaced at the beginning of the season that means so much today.

“He has a strong soccer IQ and consistently makes the players around him better,” Yeagley said. “Oliver has the ability to unbalance off both the dribble and pass, and we can't wait to integrate him into our attack this fall."

His brace against Penn State pushed his goal total to seven, which beat his previous season tally at FAU. But OMJ wasn’t done. After not scoring in Indiana’s most important victory against Maryland, Moller-Jensen delivered his third brace of the season four days later against Kentucky.

For the first time thus far this season, Indiana trailed at halftime, and they turned to their star to save the day. In the 63rd minute, Moller-Jensen converted from the penalty spot to level the match. Just over nine minutes later, Nike whipped the ball towards the back post, where Moller-Jensen broke away and headed it home to give Indiana the lead en route to a 3-1 victory. Later that week, Moller-Jensen’s goal tally marked double digits.

On Senior Night against Hanover, Moller-Jensen started as the creator. His ball found the foot of Clay Murador for Indiana’s second goal in the seventh minute, and he added another assist on Collins Oduro’s first goal moments later. But it was only fitting that, being a senior himself, Moller-Jensen had to score one of his own.

Standing over a free kick in the 15th minute, Moller-Jensen sailed his ball over the Hanover wall and into the back of the net for his 10th goal of the season. By the time his Senior Night ended, he had three goal contributions as Indiana rolled to a 7-0 demolition of Hanover. This win moves the Hoosiers to a perfect 10-0 at Bill Armstrong Stadium.

This milestone exemplifies just how quickly Moller-Jensen’s collegiate career has changed. He only scored two goals in his first two seasons at FAU before his eventual breakthrough during his junior year. Now, in his lone season as a Hoosier, he has scored 10 goals, with plenty to still play for.

Yet perhaps the most telling part of Moller-Jensen’s emergence is that Indiana hasn’t solely relied on him to get the job done. Nike has constantly created opportunities for him, while Bogard has proved time and time again that he can be a consistent scoring threat. Moller-Jensen, however, has repeatedly had the magic tough.

With the postseason on the horizon, Moller-Jensen’s final season of college soccer is far from finished. He arrived in Bloomington as an experienced transfer hoping to be another piece for Indiana’s attack, but has blossomed into something much greater: the Hoosiers’ most reliable finisher yet and one of the defining players of their dominant season.

Now, with star number nine still to be stitched on the jersey, Indiana will continue to find No. 8 to provide the finishing touch.
