Bodies of two missing men recovered on Lake Michigan

LAKE COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana Conservation Officers are have found the bodies of two men who were missing in the waters of Lake Michigan since July 5, according to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

The bodies of Eduardo Rivera Jr., 45, and Salvador Lopez, 32, both of Elk Grove, Illinois, were found Friday, one and a half miles from where they went missing.

According to the DNR, the boat was found nearly two and a half miles off the shore of Whiting.

Soon after the search began on July 5, a third man was found and released after receiving medical treatment.
