BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) — The Bloomington Plan Commission approved site plans for a proposed student housing apartment building near Memorial Stadium.
The apartment complex, Bloomington HUB II, by the developer Core Spaces, would be located at 17th and Lincoln Streets.
Bloomington HUB II would bring two, five-story buildings with 441 apartment units totaling 1,143 bedrooms. There will be a mix of floor plan options, with 114 studio apartments, 22 one-bedroom units, 127 two-bedroom units, 27 three-bedroom units, 59 four-bedroom units, and 92 five-bedroom units.
Before construction, about two dozen buildings will have to be demolished, including several homes. That could begin as soon as later this year.
