Bloomington man sentenced to 9 months in prison for Jan. 6 riot

WASHINGTON D.C. — A Bloomington man will spend the next nine months in federal prison for his participation in the January 6, 2021 attack on the United States Capitol.

A jury convicted 31-year-old Antony Vo in September for:

  • Entering and remaining in a restricted building
  • Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building
  • Violent entry and disorderly conduct in a capitol building
  • Parading, demonstrating or picketing in a capitol building.

According to court documents, Vo will be on supervised probation for a year after his release and will be required to pay a $1,000 fine.
