BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is conducting a death investigation after a hiker reported finding human skeletal remains in a wooded area near the Monroe County Airport last week.
Police don't believe that foul play is involved and are checking missing person reports from within the last year.

The Monroe County Coroner's Office and an anthropology team from the University of Indianapolis are working with the sheriff's office to help identify the person.
