BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — IU Notify has had some recent changes to help keep students and faculty more informed.
Starting march 28, the mass-communication platform will begin sending text messages to all mobile devices that are registered through IU.
Before, students and faculty had the option of receiving only email updates, but the new modification will make text messages the primary form of notification.
These notifications are often used for weather and other emergencies.
The new change will effectively allow students and faculty to be informed at a faster rate than before.
