Southern Indiana man faces long list of additional child sex crimes

A Memphis, Indiana man arrested for child sex crimes in November is now facing additional charges in several other southern Indiana counties. 

On Nov. 30, Indiana State Police arrested Eric Adam Riggs, 37,  after an investigation into possible child molestation and other child sex crimes. 

In that case, Riggs was charged with:

  • Child Molesting - Level 1 Felony
  • Sexual Misconduct with a Minor - Level 4 Felony
  • Incest (2 counts) - Level 4 Felony
  • Child exploitation - Level 5 Felony

ISP says that Riggs has remained in the Washington County jail since his arrest. 

As a result of the initial criminal probe, detectives expanded their investigation into other several southern Indiana counties. 

Following the investigation, Riggs was charged with additional child sex crimes in Clark and Scott counties.

Clark County: 

  • Child Molesting (2 counts) – Level 1 Felony 
  • Sexual Misconduct with a Minor (2 counts) – Level 4 Felony 
  • Incest (2 counts) – Level 4 Felony 
  • Child Exploitation – Level 5 Felony  

Scott County: 

  • Child Molesting – Level 1 Felony
  • Incest (2 counts) – Level 4 Felony 
  • Sexual Misconduct with a Minor (2 counts) – Level 4 Felony 
  • Child Exploitation – Level 5 Felony

ISP did not say what information led to the additional charges.
