This case is the seventh sexual assault reported during this year’s red zone, the time from August to Thanksgiving when the risk of sexual assault on campus is highest.

The Bloomington Police Department also said that as of September 26th, they have received four reports of sexual assault. Cases occurred on N Roosevelt, S Walnut Street Pike, S Lincoln Street, and E Third Street.

The case on east third street allegedly happened in 2018, but the victim told B.P.D. last week about the assault. The case is ongoing.
