BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) – The Indiana University Police Department received a report Wednesday regarding a rape that allegedly occurred on Sept. 23 at Foster Hall, according to the IU Police Department’s Daily Crime Log.
IUSTV News reached out to IU Public Safety Public Information Officer Hannah Skibba on Friday but had not received a response when this article was published.
This is the second rape to have allegedly occurred at Foster Hall so far this academic year. In August, IUPD says a rape was reported at Foster Hall on Aug. 21, but had happened on Aug. 17.
Nine sexual assaults have been reported on campus this academic year. The period from the start of school to Thanksgiving Break is known as the “Red Zone,” or the time during the year when sexual assault reports are highest.
