BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) – Indiana University announced implementation committees and an updated website for its Climate Action Plan.
The plan, approved by IU President Pamela Whitten in September, creates a roadmap for the university to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.
Each of IU’s seven campuses has an implementation committee that is made up of students, faculty, and staff. Members were appointed to the committee by the campus administration. The university says the committees will follow the plan guidelines to establish projects that facilitate student learning.
The new website features a dashboard that tracks goals that are listed in the plan, as well as a greenhouse gas dashboard for all campuses.
