Here’s where you can recycle your used eclipse glasses in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) — The next total solar eclipse to be visible in the United States isn’t until August 2044, according to NASA. With no eclipse coming to the U.S. anytime soon, what should you do with all of those eclipse viewers and eclipse glasses?

Bloomington based WonderLab and Monroe County’s Waste Reduction District are partnering Astronomers Without Borders, national nonprofit, to redistribute eclipse glasses around the world.

Experts say reused glasses are safe to use as long as there are no damages and are not more than three years old.

You can donate your glasses at the recycling center on South Walnut through the end of April.
