BLOOMINGTON — Downed power lines have closed part of 13th Street, between Woodlawn Avenue and Walnut Grove Street Friday morning, according to an IU Notify Bloomington alert.

Monroe County is under a high wind warning until 11 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service, for wind gusts that could reach 60 miles per hour. The wind storm is fueled by remnants of Hurricane Helene, which made landfall in Florida late Thursday night.
