The IUSTV Entertainment Department offers students opportunities in the entertainment side of television through both in-studio and out in the field production experiences.

The entertainment department produces three shows throughout each semester:

The Bloomington Breakfast Club

The Bloomington Breakfast Club is IUSTV’s morning talk show hosted by Caroline Parks and Morgen Ludwig. TBBC highlights the various people, places, and things that makes Bloomington so unique. The show tapes Friday mornings in Studio 7 in Franklin Hall.

The show has been filmed at various places around Bloomington like The Graduate Hotel, Oliver Winery, Orange Theory, Rainbow Bakery, and we have interviewed various Bloomington business owners and students who are making a difference on campus and in the community.

Awards Won

The Bloomington Breakfast Club placed 1st in the Television Non-News/Sports Program category at the 2019 IASB College Broadcasting Competition Awards.

Not Too Late

Not Too Late has morphed and transformed over the years, but it basically has a late night comedy talk show/sketch show kind of vibe. The show films its episodes in Studio 7 in Franklin Hall and in Studio 5 in the Radio & TV Building.

In addition to being a crew member for the show, students have the opportunity to be a part of the NTL Writers Team to help write the show each week.

Past guests on the show have included campus student organizations, IU professors, and Jesse Eisenberg!

Awards Won

Not Too Late placed 2nd in the Television Non-News/Sports Program category at the 2020 & 2021 IASB College Competition Awards and received an Honorable Mention at the 2019-2020 Pinnacle College Media Awards in the Best Video Entertainment Program category.

Behind The Curtain

Behind The Curtain is a brand new IUSTV show that spotlights student film projects and gives students the opportunity to share and discuss a video project they’ve made in a class or wherever. The show tapes Friday mornings in Studio 7 in Franklin Hall.
