BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) — A bystander caught in the crossfire of a fight captured the moment shots rang out at an apartment complex over Little 500 weekend.

The video, sent to IUSTV News, shows a large fight at Stadium Crossing apartments early Saturday morning. Then, a person walking behind a line of parked vehicles can be seen firing off several gunshots. Luckily, no one was shot during the incident.

IU Police and Public Safety Public Information Officer Hannah Skibba said that officers in the area heard the gunshots and immediately responded to the area.

A text and phone call alert from IU Notify was sent to student phones at 12:50 a.m., telling people to take shelter and lock doors. A second alert, sent at 1:12 a.m., gave the all clear, saying there was no longer an active threat to the campus community.

No arrests have been made and no other information was immediately available.

Skibba said that the Bloomington Police is leading the investigation and anyone with information is asked to call police.
