Two cats killed in Ellettsville house fire

ELLETTSVILLE, Ind. — Two cats were killed in a house fire in Ellettsville Monday morning.

According to the Ellettsville Fire Department, around 6:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a home on Second Street with heavy smoke and an active fire.

A person inside the home was able to get out safely.

EFD said the fire was put out quickly and the home experienced damage.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
