BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Starting Monday, Smith Road will once again be closed at the State Road 46 intersection after an extended delay for utility relocation work, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
The closure will continue until at least late August.
INDOT says during the construction, drivers will not be able to turn north onto Smith Road from State Road 46, and the sidewalk will be closed when workers are present.
The official detour route is west on State Road 46 to State Road 45 to North Smith Road.
INDOT reminded drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones.
