071424_Toll-Road-Scam

The Indiana Toll Road is warning of a text message phishing scam targeting Hoosiers.

Scammers are using fraudulent text messages to deceive individuals into providing payment for what the scammer claims are unpaid tolls.

The toll road stressed that the agency does not send text messages requesting sensitive information such as passwords, payment information, or account numbers.

If you get one of these text messages, you are encouraged to not click on the link, or respond to the message.

You can also file a complaint with the IC3, listing the phone number the text came from and the website linked in the text message.
