MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (IUSTV News) - The Martinsville Fire Department confirmed a resident and a dog were killed in a large house fire in Martinsville Friday night.

Fire crews responded to the home near Martinsville High School just before 9:30 p.m. to a report of a fire with entrapment.

When firefighters arrived at the home, they say they confirmed a resident was trapped inside and that they attempted to make entry into the home.
