BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (IUSTV News) - The bodies of two missing IU students last seen Saturday at Monroe Lake were recovered Tuesday morning, according to a press release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
Conservation Officers located and recovered the bodies of the victims in an area east of the Paynetown Marina at 11:23 a.m. Tuesday.
The two individuals have been identified as Siddhant Shah, 19, and Aryan Vaidya, 20, both current IU students. The pair were at Monroe Lake with friends on Saturday when they fell beneath the surface while swimming.
