Halloweekend Activities

SAFE NIGHT TRICK OR TREAT AT MONROE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS

Our first event is fun for the whole family.

The Monroe County Fair Board and the Monroe County 4H club are putting on trick-or-treating at the fairgrounds. The event is from 6 p.m. To 8 p.m. this Thursday, October 27. There will be space to park on-site and many community organizations, clubs, and businesses will be passing out candy.

FESTIVAL OF GHOST STORIES AT BRYAN PARK

In need of a little spook?

The Bloomington Storytellers Guild, the Monroe County Public Library, and Bloomington Parks and Rec are hosting the Festival of Ghost Stories at Bryan Park. Storytellers will gather on stage to recite ghost stories of old.

And the festival isn't anything new. The earliest festival of ghost stories was in the nineteen seventies. The ghosts will come back to life this Friday, October 28 at 7 p.m.

FORBIDDEN HOLLOWS HAUNTED FARM IN BEDFORD

And besides the Barn of Terror, there are other haunted attractions to visit this weekend. Located in Bedford, the Forbidden Hollows Haunted Farm is sure to leave your bones shaking.

Just 20 minutes south of Bloomington, this haunted trail is open every Saturday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Unlike other haunted attractions around, this one is a haunted trail through the woods. Entry tickets cost $20 a person.
