The IUSTV News department offers students the opportunity to cover local, state-wide, national, and international news. Whether it’s new dining hall rules, a hot air balloon crash, or a high-speed chase through town, IUSTV News is always there to bring you the latest. Tapings are Tuesday nights in Beckley Studio in the Media School’s Franklin Hall.

Hoosier News Source
Hoosier News Source is Indiana University’s weekly “hard news” program. HNS brings you the latest news from IU’s campus, along with headlines from Around the World, a weekly meteorology report and IU sports updates.
HNS rotates anchors each week.
Awards
At the 2023 IASB College Broadcasting Awards, Hoosier News Source placed 1st in the Video News Program category.
At the 2021 IASB College Broadcasting Awards, Hoosier News Source placed 1st in the Television News Program category.
At the 2020 SPJ Indiana “Best in Indiana Journalism,” stories from the show took home 1st and 3rd in the News Reporting category, and 3rd in the Features Reporting category.
What’s Up Weekly
What’s Up Weekly is Indiana University’s weekly entertainment news show. WUW brings you the latest events in town, interviews with IU Olympians, and the latest in pop culture.
WUW is hosted by Cali Lichter and Lucy Kellison.
